How does it work?

During your appointment, our trained therapists will use a dermatoscope – a highly advanced medical magnifying lens combined with a clinical camera – to take a deeply detailed, microscopic image of your lesion. We also capture a wider clinical photo to show the dermatologist exactly where the lesion sits on your body. These images, along with a brief, confidential medical questionnaire, are then securely uploaded to the Map My Mole portal for expert review.

A lesion mapping appointment at Spa Therapy is incredibly fast, taking just a few minutes per lesion, and is completely painless. Because it is simply a medical photography service, there are no needles, no discomfort, and absolutely no downtime.
Once your images are securely sent off, a Consultant Dermatologist will review your scan. Within just a few days, you will be provided with a detailed, personalised report outlining their exact findings.
